About this course
Once you are comfortable swimming around a wreck, the next step is going inside one. The SSI Advanced Wreck Diving program teaches you to make safe, limited-penetration dives into shipwrecks while staying within the daylight zone, so you can explore engine rooms, cargo holds and passageways with proper training and the right equipment.
You practise the skills that make overhead diving safe: careful buoyancy and trim, silt-free finning, running a single continuous guideline with a reel, navigating and mapping the interior, and managing your gas, light and turn pressures. We also drill the emergency procedures for a lost line or a lost buddy, so every dive has a clear plan and a clear way out.
The course combines MySSI digital theory with training dives on Pula's wrecks, to a maximum depth of 40 metres. On completion you earn the SSI Advanced Wreck Diver certification, the natural bridge between the Wreck Diving specialty and full technical wreck diving.
